The Beloni Project was born 50 years ago from the desire to offer Brazilians a healthier life and better quality food.
Today, the family business is run by the third generation, who are committed to maintaining the original values:
Honesty, transparency, sustainability, growth and innovation.
It is located in the Alto Paranaíba region of Minas Gerais with altitudes ranging from 1,000 to 1,200 meters above sea level.
The farm has ideal soil and climate for growing coffee.
With a total area of 5,000 hectares, Beloni is a polyculture farm. 300 hectares are dedicated to coffee and 200 hectares to
Potatoes, onions, beans, corn, soy, wheat, eucalyptus, sorghum and barley.
Beloni recently became the first coffee producer in the world to receive Regenagri® Regenerative Agriculture certification – a
International regenerative agriculture program aimed at ensuring soil health and human sustenance.
The benefits of regenerative agriculture are numerous, among which we can highlight: the reduction in the use of chemicals, the increasing improvement of soil quality, the production of higher quality food, the reduction of production costs,
the balance of the biome (ecosystem) and the reduction of carbon emissions.
As the first certified regenerative coffee plantation in the world, AgroBeloni proves that coffee cultivation in the Cerrado Mineiro is constantly evolving to meet global environmental protection expectations.
Le Cerrado is a young coffee growing region that began production in the early 1960s and is now active internationally. Recognized for its quality, Le Cerrado is located in the state of Minas Gerais in western Brazil.
The region's production capacity is 5 million bags. In 2013, the producers obtained the Denomination of Origin "Cerrado Minerio", which is a quality mark and certifies authenticity. It proves that the coffee really comes from the region and has characteristics specific to its area of origin. Consumers and roasters can thus be guaranteed to enjoy an Arabica coffee (a blend of varieties, mainly from Mundo Novo and Catuai) produced in the
The region defined by the certification is located at an altitude of between 800m and 1,300m and achieves at least 80 points under the SCAA cupping protocol. Today, the DO comprises around 4,500 producers on 17,000 hectares, supported by 9 cooperatives, 7 associations and 1 foundation. An independent body certifies the quality of the coffees.
